Payment posting and reconciliation

Every payment posted, explained and reconciled to the bank

Payment posting records what each payer paid, adjusted and assigned to the patient on every claim line. Done well, it is where denials and underpayments are first spotted and where the books are reconciled to actual bank deposits.

Does this sound familiar?

  • Deposits do not match what was posted.
  • Paper EOBs pile up.
  • Credit balances and overpayments are not reviewed.
  • Denials are posted as zero payments and never worked.

Scope of work

Exactly what this service covers — and what it doesn't — so responsibilities are clear before you sign anything.

  • Manual posting of paper EOBs and patient payments received by your office
  • Contractual adjustment review
  • Patient responsibility allocation
  • Credit balance and refund review, processed under your approval
  • Deposit-to-posting reconciliation

Not included

  • Handling cash or physical checks
