Accounts receivable management

Accounts receivable worked by priority, not by whoever calls first

Accounts receivable (AR) is the money owed to your practice for services already provided. AR management is the follow-up that turns open claims into resolved ones — paid, corrected, appealed or written off for a documented reason — before timely filing limits close the door.

Does this sound familiar?

  • The over-90-day bucket keeps growing.
  • Claims are discovered after the payer's timely filing limit has passed.
  • Underpayments are posted without anyone checking them against the contract.
  • There is a backlog from a previous billing company and no clear handoff.

How the work flows

  1. 01

    Baseline

We pull aging reports and categorize open AR by payer, age and reason.

  2. 02

    Prioritize

Claims nearest their filing deadline or highest in value are worked first.

  3. 03

    Resolve

Each claim gets an action: correct, resubmit, appeal, bill patient or recommend adjustment.

  4. 04

    Document

Every touch is noted in your system so history is never lost.

  5. 05

    Feed back

Patterns are reported so the cause is fixed upstream.

What we measure

Measured against your own baseline. We don't quote benchmarks or other clients' results.

Days in AR
Total AR divided by average daily charges.
AR over 90 days
Share of total AR older than 90 days from date of service.
Touches to resolution
Average number of follow-up actions before a claim resolves.
Timely filing write-offs
Dollars written off because a filing deadline was missed — the goal is zero.

What we need from your practice

  • Aging reports from your PM system
  • Payer portal access set up for our team
  • Your adjustment and write-off approval policy
  • Patient information is exchanged only through secure access you control — never through forms or email on this website.

Accounts receivable management: common questions

Can you take over a backlog from our previous biller?

Yes. We scope legacy AR as a separate clean-up project with its own report, so it is clear which balances are recoverable, which need patient billing and which are past recovery.

Do you write off balances?

Only under an adjustment policy you approve in writing. Every recommended write-off is listed with its reason.
